Most people take the Luxembourg Gardens for granted. You step through the wrought-iron gates, admire the long avenues of trees, snap a few pictures. It's easy to miss the most important features: elongated lawn chairs intended for napping, long stretches of lawn available for impromptu wine and cheese parties, and the best place to catch a sunset in Paris (on the south exit).
Best Money Spent: €5 to rent a miniature sailboat.
Best Free Experience: Drinking wine with friends on the lawn.
What My Camera Didn't Catch: The children of strangers. Just kidding, I got tons of pictures of children carrying boats. Nobody accuses me of being creepy because I have a nice smile.
