Vintage Banana Republic vest; Merona scarf; vintage skirt; Target boyfriend tee
If you've been reading my blog for a while, you know that my dream life would include a beautiful wooden house somewhere in the heart of a jungle. I would have three or four pet leopards, and a balcony somewhere high in the treetops. My days would consist of eating tropical fruit and going down to the beach (no one else would know that it was there). In the evenings I would gather up my pet leopards, and we would have story time on the porch.
Ye-ah. That's about it. My childhood cat was a chubby beast who pretty much did whatever she wanted. I've visited the jungle a few times in my life (Mexico, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Belize), and I would love to live there someday. I still have a ways to go.
It's rare to find a piece of clothing that sums up this dream, but a few years ago I found this awesome vest from the original Banana Republic. You might not know it, but Banana Republic used to cater exclusively to the wilderness-safari-adventure bound traveler, and their clothes reflected that. I wonder what adventures this vest went on!
