Vintage trench; Philip Lim x Target dress
One of the cool things about neighborhoods in Venice is that there are all these secret alleyways between the houses. It's like a variation of all the canals, except on dry land, and they're not tourist attractions. You might not notice them unless you stumbled across them by accident, but they all bleed into each other. Some of the alleys feature stretches of elaborate graffiti, or rusted sheet metal covered in vines. Gardens spill over fences, untamed and unmanaged. You might walk down an alley and catch your own reflection in a vintage mirror propped up against the wall, or you might get startled by a neighbor's dog. More often than not, however, you're on your own, navigating the secret stretch of Los Angeles, free to discover something that very few others have.
