Last week my mom and I visited some old Hollywood sites. I've been doing a lot of research on old Hollywood for the past few years, and it's fun to see some of the buildings that are still standing, even after years of construction/demolition around them. We visited the Janes House (now a bar, closed when we went), which was the first schoolhouse in Hollywood. When it was built, Hollywood Boulevard was still called Prospect Avenue. It's the oldest building in Hollywood, but she looks great for her age!
We also visited the Wattles Mansion (no pictures in this post), the Crossroads of the World (pictured below), and a few more places that I'll post about tomorrow.
