Paris Fashion Night

Paris, France

Paris Fashion Night was so much fun!  It's like Halloween for adults, where everyone gets absurdly dressed up and then pop in and out of various high-end boutiques, drinking champagne and eating macarons.  Ralph Lauren gave out neon cashmere beanies...too bad I don't ski.

There were lines to get into a lot of the stores.  After a brief wait, men in tuxedoes would usher groups of  people inside, then close the door behind them.  You can't always see what's going on until you actually enter the store.  I thought it would be funny if one of the fashion houses decided to turn their bottom floor into a psychologically terrifying haunted house, complete with disembodied heads and pools of fake blood.  High fashion encourages designers to think outside the box.  Am I interpreting that wrong?

At one point, Igor and Grichka Bogdanoff were taking pictures with fans, but I was tired and wanted to go watch Homeland, so I didn't get one.  Also, side note, does anyone else think that Gucci's new blue coat (picture 3) look exactly like the coat I wore in this post? Anyone?

Apparently I wasn't the only one who wanted to climb in bed and watch Homeland.
