Delhi was an interesting experience for me. A lot of my trip through India was based on recommendations from friends and other travelers, and everyone hated Delhi. Everyone. I must have spoken to at least thirty different people who had been there, and there was never a positive opinion amongst the criticism.
Still, I had a great time. My hosts were absolutely lovely, and they lived in a nice neighborhood. I was there during the winter, which meant that the city was foggy half the time I was there, and it made everything just a little bit softer and more beautiful.
As much as I enjoyed it, however, I don't think I would ever go back. It was a stressful experience, filled with lots of draining moments that punctuated the good times. Of all the cities and towns I've visited in India, Delhi is the only city where I saw fat children (fat children! in India!), and that made the whole trip almost worth it. Anyway, here are some photos from my trip. Enjoy!
