A Visit to the Monkey Temple

Hampi, India

One of the most important historical and religious sites in Hampi is the Hanuman Temple, which is a temple for the monkey god.  It's at the top of a mountain, and to access it, you have to climb up 570 steps.

I took a motorbike out through the rice paddies leading up to the temple, but once I started to get closer to the top, I realized how high up it was and got a bit scared.  Fortunately, a man who was also climbing up convinced me to go the entire way, and I'm glad I did, because the views were spectacular.
